More of Tammy’s delicious hand painted yarn, dyed just for me, arrived!

This batch is all a blend of bamboo & cotton, providing some of the best of both fibers. I tried a few new colorways to push my typical color sensibilities. Can’t wait to make them into yummy handwoven scarves!

Saturated Colors

My last batch of the hand painted bamboo-tencel blend yarn is Tammy’s North Shore. Again, I’ve used this colorway before, and I like it.

This time I remembered to make a simple threading pattern – just a large point twill.

Weaving New York

Still working on Tammy’s hand painted yarn, next up for my handwoven scarves was her New York colorway. Several shades of purples and pinks. This 8/2 yarn is a blend of 2/3 bamboo & 1/3 cotton. It’s not quite a soft as 100% bamboo, but it has a much softer drape than all cotton.

Watery Lace

This time of year, I just keep weaving, and weaving, and weaving to build up my inventory for the coming show season. It’s nice to weave light, lacy fabrics when it’s cold out – it makes spring seem right around the corner.
