Gavin’s Blanket is Done

I finished little Gavin’s custom handwoven security blanket. It’s winging its way to him as we speak. Based on the photo, momma Caitlin thinks it’s just what she wants – handwoven in fine-gauge white cotton with blue windowpane, finished with pale yellow blanket binding on all four sides. She’s going to use the ideas my blog readers suggested, as well as my own, to help make it be a favorite of Gavin’s, too.

So what was my suggestion? Since Gavin’s already two, he has some reasoning capability, so I thought it might be helpful to tell him that this blanket was made special, just for him.

Caitlin’s promised to keep me posted on the progress, and when possible, to send me a photo of Gavin and the blanket for me to post.
