My eggshell cashmere silk scarves were a failure, at least as far as being saleable. So I combined my customers’ requests for white or eggshell scarves and their desire for cottons into one product. After my recent experience with the 5/2 handpainted Egyptian cotton, I knew that I wanted to sett the eggshell cotton [...] I promised to show you the four handwoven baby blankets when I finally had the binding on them. The pink hearts have a pale pink binding, the blue hearts a pale blue binding, and the cranberry & aqua have white binding. Ok, not really, but since I’ve been posting in between about everything from interesting photos to uninteresting thighs, it’s been way too long. After I took all those handwoven napkins off my counterbalance loom, I set it up to weave scarves. It had been far too [...] I’m FINALLY able to share the results of my handwoven napkins for the International Napkin Exchange. I wove 10 napkins. All have the same white warp, and all have the same summer & winter block design. Summer & winter means that’s what’s dark on one side is light on the other. The term came [...] After finally figuring out how to draft a design in block theory, I spent a long time designing my actual napkins for the International Napkin Exchange.
