I’ve never been a real car buff. All that’s important to me is that my vehicle starts and stops when I want it to, gets me where I need to go, and is comfortable enough that I can stand up straight when I arrive. I do recognize the beauty in an old classic, however.
My sweetie was appreciating his brother’s car. I don’t know what kind of car it is (a Buick, perhaps?) or what year, but will attempt to learn from your informative comments. I’ll try to get the owner to post a comment in the next few days.
This post is in response to Carmi’s challenge of the week – shiny.
Custom cars are awesome and that one is shiny.

I’d be admiring that shiny car, too!
Very nice…shiny for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I guess the car is great, but the wonderful man in front of it stole my attention from anything else in the photo… and made me remember lots of Russ “wheels” stories, including the very humorous one about the first time you laid eyes on your honey (no bee refernce intended here).
This was my car from 1995 to 1999. It is a 1950 buick super 4dr sedan. I did a homemade restoration. It was sitting in a barn for about 20 years. I sold it to a prof in Tampa fl. Probaly should have fept it, but I wanted a convertible. Too late now. This was called the “bucktooth” year because of its immense grill. Looking for a 47 or 48 when I retire. Hope this helps you out. Tom

Great photo,Peg. I know less about cars than you but I do know that’s a Buick. Those three little “pigeon holes”are definitive.
Yes that car is really shining and the man too 🙂
Love the car, I am a bit jealous. I would love to cruise in that. Nice pic too.
