Nope, I&#8217;m not a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redhatsociety.com\" target= \"_blank\">Red Hat Lady<\/a>.  I&#8217;ve just always liked bright, rich colors.  And <a href=\"http:\/\/www.poemhunter.com\/poem\/warning\/\" target= \"_blank\">Jenny Joseph&#8217;s poem<\/a> that gave rise to these groups around the world.  But I&#8217;ve liked both the colors and the poem for decades, long before I was old enough to qualify as an old lady.  I distinctly remember being in my 20s when someone asked me what my favorite color was, and when I answered &#8220;red,&#8221; they told me it couldn&#8217;t be.  Something about my personality made them think that red couldn&#8217;t be my favorite color.  But it was.  I wore it often then, and still do.
